Wes grew up in Nappanee and is a 2009 graduate of NorthWood High School. After high school, Wes completed his undergraduate studies at Indiana University in Bloomington, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry in 2013. He then spent the following two years in Southern California pursuing a music career, where he met his wife, Kaitlyn. Upon their return to Indiana, Wes attended the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis, where he received his J.D. with honors, graduating cum laude in 2018.

In 2020, Wes enthusiastically returned to his hometown of Nappanee. Before his return, Wes served as a patent attorney at a prominent Chicago-based intellectual property law firm. Although his current focus has shifted from patent work, his time with the firm equipped him with valuable experience in addressing intricate legal and technical challenges for a diverse clientele, including Fortune 500 companies. Wes is eager to leverage his expertise to meet the legal needs of the Nappanee community and neighboring local communities.

Wes focuses his practice primarily in the areas of civil litigation and criminal defense. He also represents clients in the areas of family law, Medicaid planning, estate planning & administration, and provides legal representation to new and existing businesses.

Outside of his professional pursuits, Wes finds joy in spending quality time with his wife and two sons, as well as with the rest of his family and friends. His hobbies include golfing, cooking, and occasionally playing keys and providing backup vocals for his uncle John Kirkwood’s band.

Like his brother, Wes, Will is also a native of Nappanee. He graduated NorthWood High School in 2014 and subsequently pursued his undergraduate studies at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. During his time at DePauw, Will showcased his dedication both academically and athletically, playing football while earning a Bachelor’s degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology in 2018.

Following his undergraduate studies, Will attended the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis, where he received his J.D. in 2021.

After law school, Will joined Prasco Laboratories, a distinguished, Cincinnati-based pharmaceutical company. Starting as a sales territory manager in the Orlando, Florida region, Will demonstrated exceptional skills and commitment, leading to a swift promotion and relocation to Houston, Texas. In his expanded role, he managed a significantly larger market, honing his abilities in relationship-building, problem-solving, and navigating the complexities of the healthcare system.

In October 2023, Will transitioned to Kirkwood Law, LLC, where he currently serves as an Associate Attorney. In his free time, Will enjoys traveling and visiting family and friends in Indiana, Colorado, Texas, and Florida. His hobbies include golfing, sampling new restaurants, and exploring with his girlfriend, Anna Claire, and their canine companion, Stella.
